Designed for the Art of Living

Over 350 families, and growing, call Carolina Colours home. The community is an attractive, friendly place that provides most of what an active adult wants—dozens of group activities, welcoming neighbors, a Harris-Teeter grocery, banks, drug store, places to eat and other convenient service providers. Our local walk-in Urgent Care clinic will soon be augmented by a medical building with several full-time physicians. If you are tired of battling city traffic or commuting long distances to get your daily needs met, you will find Carolina Colours refreshingly convenient.

If you are a golfer, Carolina Colours includes what we (and others) believe to be the best lay-out and the friendliest staff in the central coastal region of North Carolina.  Our course was designed to accommodate golfers of all abilities and ages.  We also feature an acclaimed instructor who works with golfers of all ages and skill levels.  If you want to play on a course that does not have homes and condo’s lining the fairways, Carolina Colours is the course for you.  You have the choice of an equity membership, an annual membership or pay as you play—and if you are not a golfer, you can still enjoy the value brought to the community by the beauty of the open spaces created by the course.

New Bern has long been a haven for retirees.  The first capital of North Carolina, it is rich in history and has a vibrant cultural and arts community.  Its downtown is full of quaint shops and excellent restaurants, attracting visitors from all over.

It has a regional commercial airport just minutes away, one that doesn’t require that you get there hours before your flight.

Best of all, the medical services in New Bern rank with the best of any small town anywhere, with one of the highest rated hospitals in North Carolina.
